This artwork depicts the challenges I faced when I first arrived in New York, where the barriers of different languages and cultures limited my connections with others. However, in a moment when he saw me fumbling for a cigarette in my pocket, he understood beyond language. In that shared moment of asking for a lighter, a connection sparked between two individuals. From that point on, we connected by the small point of burnt tobacco. Just like art is universal,  bridging the gaps between diverse cultural, linguistic, and ethnic groups.
